Born in the family of music & art exponents; Manjari Pandey is the eldest daughter of renowned thandai brand Mishrambhu family's eldest son, Mr. S.C. Dubey and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kanak Dubey. She is also the eldest in her generation. Manjari's grand father, Late Shri Arunanand Dubey was Personal Secretary to the great Sitar Maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar, for nearly 24 years, while her grand mother, Late Smt. Ganga Devi Dubey was a graduate in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University and a disciple of Thumri Samrat Pt. Mahadev Prasad Mishra, Varanasi. Manjari's mother in law, Smt. Aarati Pandey is a famous folk singer and an AIR artiste.
Multifaceted Manjari is a Science Graduate and after her marriage she has done her Fashion Designing, Painting & Mural. In the year 2000, she introduced one-zip saree in an exhibition by the name of 'Collection 2000' which was a novelty at that time and which got her acclaim by the media. This innovative concept of hers got her selected by the U.P. Government for the Dubai Fashion Festival to represent India. After the birth of her first son she learnt and completed her Masters in Bharatnatyam and is still taking special training under guru shishya parampara under the tutelage of renowned Bharatanatyam Guru Shri Gyanendra Dutt Bajpai, she has also done her Prabhakar in Classical Vocal under her guru Shri Pramod Upadhyay.
She is the Founder Director of "Manjari's Institute of Music & Fine Arts", Lucknow, (also known as MIMFA). which she established on 15th April, 2010. She has full support of her husband, Mr. Ashish Pandey, family, Gurus – Shri Gyanendra Dutt Bajpai, Shri Vipin Rabha and friends. Inspite of being a mother to two sons: Pratham Parashar and Shwetang Parashar, she has managed her institute with aplomb and has opened three more branches : one at Gomti Nagar (on 1st November, 2013); at Indira Nagar (on 30th January, 2015) & at Alambagh (on 24th January, 2016).
Manjari has given very successful performances which were well appreciated by the press and public. Salaam Lucknow conferred upon her 'Nrittykar-e-Awadh' award with eleven other top class dance exponents of Lucknow. She is an accomplished choreographer and has choreographed for LBS Institute of Management, Gudamba Thana, Lucknow's annual programme; Babu Benarsi Das Engineering College, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow for their Ganesh Utsav; for Army Wife's Welfare Association, Cantonment, Lucknow , for their AWWA Day, high profie ladies sangeet, ladies teej celebrations etc. She has been invited as a judge in IIT, Kanpur; Lucknow University; BBD; Ramswaroop College; VIBGYOR; DPS; Radio City; a number of prominent colleges and also at various district level competitions, she has also been invited as Chief Guest at La Marts; Blind Image Production; Inner Wheel Ladies Club. She has also performed Bharatnatyam for 'Sangini' programme and has been invited as guest on fashion and craft based programmes for two years at a stretch on ETV, Uttar Pradesh.
Manjari Pandey's strength is her determination, devotion and dedication towards her work. It is her desire to spread performing arts knowledge amongst the younger generation by guiding them in whatever possible way to reach the right destination. She is striving to revive and promote our nearly extinct Indian classical and cultural heritage by imparting knowledge to the youngsters and is devoting her full aptitude in taking forward our legacy and tradition of rich cultural heritage by amalgamating the old with the new.
